The camera functions mechanically as intended, with all buttons and dials operating correctly. The selenium light meter is working, allowing the camera's automatic exposure system to operate as intended.

The fixed Olympus D.Zuiko 40mm f/2.8 lens has been cleaned and is in excellent condition. The viewfinder is also clean and provides a clear view for composing images.

Cosmetically, the camera body is in good condition, showing a few visible signs of wear and patches consistent with its age and previous use. These cosmetic marks do not affect the camera's functionality and have been taken into account in the overall condition assessment. The images shown depict the exact camera you will receive.

The Olympus Trip 35 is a compact 35mm camera built around a fixed D.Zuiko 40mm f/2.8 lens and a battery-free selenium metering system. Its 40mm focal length provides a versatile, natural perspective suited to street photography, travel, everyday photographs, casual portraits, and general-purpose shooting.

The camera uses a zone-focusing system, allowing the photographer to select an approximate focusing distance rather than focusing through a rangefinder. Combined with its automatic exposure system, this makes the Trip 35 straightforward and quick to use while still allowing the photographer to control focusing distance.

One of the camera's defining features is its selenium-powered metering system, which does not require a battery. This makes the Trip 35 a particularly convenient option for photographers looking for a compact vintage camera without dependence on discontinued battery types.

This camera uses standard 35mm (135) film, producing images in the 24 × 36 mm format.

Point-and-shoot cameras sold by CPB Darkroom are inspected for mechanical operation, metering and exposure functionality where applicable, focusing operation, film transport, lens and viewfinder condition, controls, and overall functionality.
