Cyanotype was invented in 1842 and is one of the oldest forms of alternative printing that is relatively safe, affordable, and easy to do at home. In today's hyper-digital era, the process has made a significant comeback and has a renewed relevance and widespread community base.

In this introductory e-learning series, we break down the process across 5 modules containing a total of 17 videos along with a PDF guide that includes links to online communities, shopping lists as well further reading.

We will explore the chemistry of blueprints and the power of the sun with Mentor, Varun Gupta. He will walk you through the process of printing - from mixing of chemicals, and coating of surfaces to exposure times to developing and toning your prints. You will learn to make your own prints - photographs and photograms using objects like feathers, leaves, and any other found object and explore how to create unique pieces of art with almost anything under the sun.
