- The Minolta Sightseer Zoom is a compact, easy-to-use point-and-shoot camera. This 35mm camera was built by Minolta and sold to amateurs and beginners as part of the Minolta Zoom line of Point and Shoot cameras.
- The 35mm camera comes with a 35-70mm Zoom lens with super sharp auto-focus capabilities. The zoom and auto-focus functionality make this camera a class apart from its competitors. The camera features a variable aperture depending on the focal length. The closest focusing distance of this lens is 1.3 meters.
- The flash can be turned on, off, or set on auto where the camera will automatically keep the flash on when in low light conditions. The flash has a range of 1.3-3 meters.
- When taking a picture, first half-press the shutter button for the camera to focus as well as meter the scene for exposure. A green light blinks indicating readiness and you may full-press the shutter to capture your image.
- The camera reads the sensitivity of the film via the DX code on the cartridge. Films with ISO 100, ISO 200 and ISO 400 are supported. The camera requires 1 CR123A battery. Also needed are films for the camera. The best are 35mm films with a value of ISO 400. With this sensitivity, you are most flexible during the day and can take good pictures indoors.
