The Kodak KB 12 is a compact and easy-to-use point-and-shoot camera. This 35mm camera was produced by Kodak and designed for beginners and casual photographers, continuing the legacy of the KB series. The KB12 was marketed as an accessible film camera, ideal for capturing everyday moments.
This model features a fixed 30mm focal length lens with a maximum aperture of f/8. The focus is fixed, making it simple for users to take quick snapshots. The camera captures images with a shutter speed of 1/100 second, ensuring balanced exposure in various lighting conditions.
Like other KB series cameras, the Kodak KB12 reads film sensitivity via the DX code on the film cartridge. It supports ISO 100, ISO 200, and ISO 400 films, automatically adjusting the flash power based on the film speed. While CPB ReSpool rolls are not DX coded, we have extensively used the ReSpool rolls with this camera and achieves excellent results. At ISO 100, the built-in flash has a range of up to three meters. The flash is always active when needed and cannot be turned off. A small indicator light on the back of the camera shows when the flash is ready to fire.
The camera operates on two AA batteries and requires 35mm film for use. For the best results, ISO 400 film is recommended, as it offers the most versatility in different lighting conditions.
Film advancement is controlled via a thumbwheel on the back of the camera. Once the roll is finished, the film must be manually rewound using the crank before opening the back to remove and develop the film.
The Kodak KB12 is a great option for those looking for a simple, reliable, and nostalgic film photography experience.
Please Note: These are new "old stock" cameras and are unused. These cameras were originally produced for a collaboration with Tata Indicom and have the logo displayed on them. This does not affect the cameras working condition in any way and they are in perfect condition.
