Refund policy

Returns and Refunds

We have a no returns, no refunds policy, with exceptions in the following scenarios:

  1. We are unable to fulfill your order due to limited stock. 

  2. We are unable to service your ZIP code through any of our logistics partners. 

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective, including in the following cases:

  1. Damaged film roll or camera. 

  2. Damaged goods received. 

If you receive a damaged product and need to exchange it please email us at shop@chennaiphotobiennale.com and we will arrange a return pickup through our logistics partner. 


To be eligible for an exchange: 

  • The item must be unused and in the same condition in which you received it. 

  • The item must be returned in its original packaging. 

  • A receipt or proof of purchase is required to complete the exchange process. 

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will send you an email confirming the condition of the item and the status of your exchange request.

The initial return pickup/shipping cost will be covered by us. After inspection, if the product is found to be in proper working condition and as originally described, the customer will be required to pay the shipping charges for the item to be sent back to them.

If the customer chooses not to pay the return shipping charges, the product will be considered forfeited, and no refund or replacement will be issued.

If the product is confirmed to be defective or not in the promised condition, all return and replacement shipping costs will be borne by us.

If your exchange request is approved, your replacement order will be processed and shipped, and you will receive a notification once it has been dispatched.

Please note that CPB Darkroom reserves the right to reject a return if the product appears to have been damaged during use or tampered with in any way.

Delivery times for exchanged products may vary depending on your location.
