The Minolta 7s (AV29) has been inspected by CPB Darkroom. The shutter and aperture mechanisms are working smoothly, and film transport operates correctly. A battery was not available to test the light meter, so the metering function remains untested. Cosmetically, the camera is in good condition with minor scratches consistent with age. The images shown depict the exact camera you will receive.
Released in the late 1960s, the Minolta 7s is a solidly built rangefinder featuring the sharp Rokkor-PF 45mm f/1.8 lens, known for excellent contrast and pleasing rendering. With both manual and automatic exposure modes (when metering is functional), it offers flexibility while maintaining the simplicity and quiet operation typical of leaf-shutter rangefinders.
This camera uses standard 35mm (135) film and produces 24 × 36 mm negatives. The leaf shutter allows flash synchronization at all shutter speeds, making it suitable for both natural light and flash photography.
Rangefinder cameras sold by CPB Darkroom are inspected for shutter operation, aperture function, rangefinder alignment, and mechanical reliability. Any metering limitations or cosmetic issues are clearly described and reflected in the condition grade.
The sample images shown were made on film using this exact camera and lens, offering a true representation of its rendering, lens performance, and overall image quality.
