The Nikon FM2 (VG51), paired with the Nikon Series E 35mm f/2.5 (JAPL4), has been inspected, cleaned, serviced, and tested by CPB Darkroom and is in working condition. The camera functions mechanically as intended, with all buttons, dials, shutter speeds, and film transport mechanisms operating correctly. As the FM2 features a fully mechanical shutter, the camera remains operational without batteries for image making.

The built-in TTL light meter is not functional. Exposure must therefore be determined using an external light meter or a light metering app before shooting. This does not affect the mechanical operation of the camera and has been reflected in the bundle's condition grade.

The film rewind mechanism is functional; however, the rewind release button does not click or lock into place when pressed. The button must instead be held down while rewinding the film. Film can still be rewound successfully when operated this way.

The included Nikon Series E 35mm f/2.5 lens is in good working condition. The optics are clean and in excellent condition, with clear glass and no significant optical defects observed. The aperture ring operates smoothly and correctly. The focus ring is slightly tight, but remains fully functional throughout its focusing range.

Cosmetically, the Nikon FM2 body is in good condition, showing visible wear and scratches consistent with regular use. The viewfinder also has minor wear and scratches, though these do not interfere with normal viewing or composition. The lens body shows signs of regular use but remains in good overall cosmetic condition. The images shown depict the exact camera and lens you will receive.
