The Nikon FM2 (VG51) has been inspected and tested by CPB Darkroom and is in working condition. The camera functions mechanically as intended, with all buttons, dials, shutter speeds, and film transport mechanisms operating correctly. As the FM2 features a fully mechanical shutter, the camera remains fully operational without batteries for image making.

The built-in TTL light meter is not functional, and the camera should therefore be used with an external light meter or a light metering app to determine correct exposure. This has been reflected in the camera's condition grade.

The film rewind release mechanism is fully functional; however, the rewind release button does not click into place when pressed. Instead, it must be held down while rewinding the film. This does not affect the camera's ability to rewind film successfully.

Cosmetically, the camera body is in good condition, showing a few signs of wear and scratches consistent with regular use. The viewfinder also displays minor wear and scratches, though these do not interfere with composition or normal viewing. The images shown depict the exact camera you will receive.
