The Pentax MV1 (NM4) has been inspected and tested by CPB Darkroom. It is in good working condition, with the shutter curtains, film advance, and dials operating smoothly. The camera shows cosmetic wear in the form of light scratch marks on the back door and minor rust on a few screws, which do not affect usability or performance. The images shown depict the exact camera you will receive.

Released in 1979, the Pentax MV1 was a compact and simplified version of the Pentax MX, offering aperture-priority automatic exposure in a durable, metal-bodied design. It shares the same solid handling and K-mount lens compatibility that made Pentax cameras a favorite among enthusiasts and professionals alike.

This camera uses standard 35mm (135) film and produces 36 × 24 mm negatives. It is compatible with all Pentax K-mount lenses, making it an affordable and accessible entry point into classic 35mm photography.

SLR cameras sold by CPB Darkroom are film-tested for shutter accuracy, metering performance, and light leaks, certified fully operational unless otherwise noted.

The sample images shown were made on film using this exact camera and lens, offering a true representation of its rendering, lens performance, and overall image quality.
