The Kyocera Samurai X3.0 (JL24) has been inspected, cleaned, and film-tested by CPB Darkroom. It is in excellent cosmetic and functional condition with only minimal signs of use. Autofocus, zoom, film transport, and flash functions have been tested and work flawlessly. The images shown depict the exact camera you will receive.

Released in 1987 under the Yashica/Kyocera brand, the Samurai X3.0 is one of the most unique cameras ever made — a vertical half-frame SLR designed like a video camcorder. It captures two 18×24 mm images per standard 35 mm frame, doubling the number of exposures per roll. Featuring a sharp 25–75 mm f/3.5–4.3 zoom lens, autofocus, built-in flash, and motorized film advance, the Samurai delivers both creative versatility and convenience in a futuristic design.

This camera uses standard 35 mm (135) film and automatically winds and rewinds the roll. The half-frame format produces a distinctive vertical composition and fine-grained results, making it a favorite among experimental film photographers.

Point-and-shoot cameras sold by CPB Darkroom are film-tested for autofocus accuracy, flash performance, and light leaks, certified fully operational.

The sample images shown were made on film using this exact camera and lens, offering a true representation of its rendering, lens performance, and overall image quality.
