Yashica FX-3 Super 2000 was released in 1986 as an improvement on the Yashica FX-3 (1979) adding a wider range of shutter speeds as well as ISO ratings for the meter. The camera is known for being incredibly lightweight featuring a metal chassis and plastic casing. The body weighs only 450g. 

The camera ships with a Yashica ML 50mm f/1.9 lens that is certified as being fully functional and clean of any haze or fungus. One of the camera's greatest attributes is that it will accept all manual-focus Yashica / Contax lenses, including the superb Carl Zeiss T* lenses intended for the Contax line. 

The Yashica FX-3 takes 35mm (135) film and shoots in the standard 36mm x 24mm format. It features the standard loading mechanism for 35mm SLRs and is quite easy to load even when you’re on the go. 

SLR Cameras sold by the CPB Darkroom are film tested for shutter function as well as light leaks. This camera is certified to be in full working condition. The camera is fully mechanical anf can function without batteries except the inbuilt light meter which requires 2 x LR44 batteries to operate. Batteries are included with the camera. 

This individual body has been inspected by CPB Darkroom and is rated 8/10 for condition. Please note that this is a vintage used camera and thus shows regular signs of wear and tear - the images attached with the listing are of this particular camera. The body is in good condition with minimal signs of wear and tear. Viewfinder has a few marks on it that do not affect image quality. The lens is fully functional and clean of any haze or fungus. Overall it is a beautiful body and would be the perfect first camera, or a lovely addition to your collection!
