The Asahi Pentax SV (JL65), paired with the SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4 (VG-TH-SEP26-01), has been inspected, repaired, cleaned, and tested by CPB Darkroom and is in excellent working condition. The camera functions mechanically as intended, with all buttons, dials, shutter speeds, and film transport mechanisms operating correctly. The viewfinder is clean and provides a bright, clear view for composition.

As with the original design, the Pentax SV does not have a built-in light meter. Exposure must therefore be determined using an external handheld light meter or a reliable light-metering app. The camera itself is fully mechanical and does not require a battery for normal operation.

The included SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4 is in mint working condition. The manual focus ring operates correctly, while the aperture ring and aperture mechanism function as intended. The Manual/Auto aperture switch also operates correctly, allowing the lens to function as designed with compatible M42 camera bodies.

The lens optics have been cleaned and are clear and in mint condition, with no significant optical issues noted during inspection. Cosmetically, the lens is exceptionally well preserved, with no visible signs of wear.

The Pentax SV body is in good cosmetic condition, showing a few signs of wear and areas of discolouration consistent with regular use. These cosmetic marks do not affect its operation. The images shown depict the exact camera and lens you will receive.
