The Olympus 35-S (VG62), fitted with an E.Zuiko 48mm f/2.8 lens, has been inspected and tested by CPB Darkroom and is in excellent working condition. The camera functions mechanically as intended, with all buttons, dials, and controls operating correctly.

The camera does not have a built-in light meter. Exposure must therefore be determined using an external handheld light meter or a reliable light-metering app before setting the shutter speed and aperture manually.

The viewfinder is clean and clear, providing a good view for composition and rangefinder focusing.

The fixed E.Zuiko 48mm f/2.8 lens is clean overall, with a few scratches present on the optical elements. These have been taken into account in the condition assessment and may have some effect on contrast, flare, or overall rendering under certain lighting conditions.

Cosmetically, the camera body is in excellent condition, showing only minor wear and scratches consistent with its age and previous use. The camera's leather covering has been replaced, improving the exterior condition while retaining the original character of the body. The images shown depict the exact camera you will receive.

The Olympus 35-S is a classic manual-focus 35mm rangefinder built around a fixed E.Zuiko lens. Its 48mm focal length provides a natural, standard perspective suited to street photography, portraits, travel, documentary work, and general everyday photography. The fully manual exposure controls also provide a traditional hands-on shooting experience for photographers who prefer direct control over shutter speed, aperture, and focus.

This camera uses standard 35mm (135) film, producing images in the 24 × 36 mm format.

Rangefinder cameras sold by CPB Darkroom are inspected for shutter and aperture operation, film transport reliability, focusing operation, viewfinder condition, lens condition, controls, and overall mechanical integrity. Any cosmetic, optical, metering, or functional limitations are clearly described and reflected in the condition grade.
